There is a pot, with a built in filter made of metal and basket with a tube going from the base of the pot up into the basket. When the water in the body of the pot boils, the water is drawn up the tube into the basket of coffee. As the boiling water rolls through the coffee grounds, best coffee is made. These were originally built to be placed straight over an open flame but nowadays they are built for table top use and are powered by electric elements.

An automatic drip coffee machine is probably the most common today. These sit on your countertop and include a glass decanter for the coffee to drip into. There is a warming plate under the carafe to keep the coffee warm. You pour water into the tank, and after the coffee machine is switched on, the water is drawn through the basket area where the coffee grounds are located in a filter. These are easy to operate and make a decent pot of coffee. But is this the best coffee.

The newest coffee machine on the market today is the pod system. Each coffee machine has its own unique brand of pod and that is the only type of pod that can be placed in that specific machine. The pods themselves come in a somewhat wide variety of flavours so it is not dificult to pick the coffee you like. Often a pod will make one cup of coffee, which is ok if you only want a individual cup of coffee. If you enjoy having an entire pot available, a pod coffee machine is probably not the most suitable machine for you.

Acquiring a coffee machine that sits nicly for you won’t be dificult. There are a fairly wide variety of coffee machines available to buy and many have very nice features that you may pay a premium for, but are probably worth it. Imagine waking up in the morning to a fresh, full decanter of coffee just waiting for you. All you have to do is get a nice coffee machine and you’ll be happy.
